Girls’ Generation unveils group and individual CFs for ‘GiRL’ perfume

Girls’ Generation has just unveiled a few CFs for their inspired-by perfume, ‘GiRL de Provence‘!

‘GiRL de Provence’ refers to a former province in southeastern France near the Mediterranean Sea, and is advertised to be ‘French chic, lovely and glamorous’. The perfume is said to have been created using the beautiful girls as inspiration.

To further promote the scent, a group CF as well as individual ones for Yoona, Yuri, and Jessica have been released so far through SM’s YouTube channel, which you can check out below!

[Updated] Girls’ Generation to pre-release a song off their upcoming 4th album in January + another English album in store?

With the mysterious image above just having been revealed, the media has been at work trying to uncover just what may be in store for Girls’ Generation! Well, according to music industry insiders, this 2012.12.21 date is actually for the pre-release of a song off the girls’ upcoming album due out in January!

It was mentioned previously that the girls were due to reveal their 4th full length album in January of 2013, and it seems, to surprise fans for the holiday season, the group has decided to pre-release one of the songs.

One insider revealed, “There is a rumor that the song that will be pre-released is one that has been worked hard on, as much as a title track, so I’m looking forward to it.”

In addition, some new information has surfaced regarding an upcoming English album due out in 2013. It is said that SM Entertainment and Interscope Records are currently in discussion about the group’s new album in the U.S. so it seems we have even more to look forward to in 2013 from the girls!

[Update]: Latest reports are suggesting that this pre-release coming up is actually a remake of a famous song that the girls have worked on years ago, and they are now using this chance to reveal the track.

Girls’ Generation has something in store for December 21st?

SM Entertainment has just updated their Facebook as well as twitter with this mysterious image shown above, quickly gaining the attention of eager fans who have been dying to hear news of the one and only Girls’ Generation!

The photo shows a badge like figure with “So-Nyu-Shi-Dae” written on the front with wings off to the side and decorated with Korea’s national flower “Mugunghwa” or Hibiscus syriacus, aka Rose of Sharon, in between.

The date printed on the bottom says December 21st, 2012 10 AM, giving us a heads up for when we can expect this mysterious project to be revealed (that is, if the world doesn’t end by then…).

Pre-debut photos of idols are gaining hot attention.

A fan compared photos of Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and YoonA along with After School‘s Jooyeon from before and after their debut. All three of them boast of perfect beauty from even before debut, proving that their beauty was natural.

Fans commented, “I’m going to go crazy from YoonA’s beauty“, “Taeyeon is so cute when she was younger“, and “Jooyeon is so pretty even from before debut“.

KARA release full PV for “Orion”

The ladies of KARA have released the full PV for “Orion“.

“Orion” is the B-side track of their ‘Electric Boy‘ single. The song, included in their latest album ‘Girls Forever‘, was written and composed by Simon Isogai, who also created their Japanese songs “Winter Magic” and “Ima, Okuritai Arigato“.

In related news, the girls sold out tickets to their first concert in Tokyo Dome, ‘KARASIA 2013 Happy New Year in Tokyo Dome‘, in five minutes.

T-ara’s Eunjung, Jiyeon, Qri and Hyomin attend the VIP screening of ‘Marrying the Mafia 5′

T-ara‘s Eunjung, Jiyeon, Qri, and Hyomin attended the VIP screening for the movie ‘Marrying the Mafia 5‘.

The VIP screening was held at the Seoul Lotte Cinema on December 17th. The movie features Jung Joon Ho, Yoo Dong Geun, Sung Dong Il, and Park Sang Wook as the main characters, and also stars B2ST‘s Doojoon, ZE:A‘s Kwanghee, and A Pink‘s Na Eun.

The girls looked quite lovely while dressed up in winter clothing and accessories.

The movie is set for release in theaters on the 19th.

2PM’s ‘Clothes Album’ now available to international fans

2PM has released the ‘Clothes Album‘ to international fans.

Because of hot demand from international fans, the ‘Clothes Album’ will go on sale starting on the 17th through sites such as G-Market and eBay. The ‘Clothes Album’ sold out on the very first day it went on sale in Korea, and after delivery of a new batch of albums, the album is now being sold once again to fans in Korea a well.

This time, they have worked with Benetton to include scarves and pouches, widening the product lineup for fans to purchase. They will also be providing a limited edition pop-art frame, 2PM signed T-shirt, and a tote that will be given to certain buyers.

JYP Entertainment commented, “Last time, we received great response from the domestic and international buyers, so we created a lineup that ranges from 30,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW ($28 USD – $93 USD). We’re going to widen our promotions and product lineup so that domestic and international fans can be satisfied.”

Yoochun wants to appear on variety shows and ‘Laws of the Jungle’

JYJ‘s Yoochun confessed that he wanted to appear in ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.

Yoochun, Yoon Eun Hye, and Yoo Seung Ho attended a press conference for their drama ‘I Miss You‘ on December 17th.

At the press conference when asked about potentially appearing on variety shows, Yoochun stated, “Of course I want to go out on variety shows. I haven’t been on a variety show in a very long time. The last time I appeared on one was back in 2008. I think it’ll be fun to be on a variety show. It’s going to be different when we talk while we’re being recorded compared to when we talk in private. I think it’ll be a lot of fun.”

He continued, “I want to appear on ‘Laws of the Jungle’. I really enjoy stuff like that. Before I started working on this, I went out on a random trip without a destination early in the morning equipped with just a tent. I got bit by mosquitos all over the place when I tried to make a tent at 3 in the morning. I’ve been wanting to appear on ‘Laws of the Jungle’ ever since it began airing.“

2PM’s Taecyeon writes a ‘Diet Song’ for his fans

Taecyeon uploaded the ”Diet Song” that he composed himself for his fans.

The comical song was uploaded onto 2PM‘s official fancafe on December 18th KST. Along with the song, Taecyeon wrote, “It was too big and wouldn’t upload so I compressed the song… If you want to listen, do whatever you want hehe“.

The attached song had lyrics such as, “You can’t eat anything~ You just can’t eat anything~” and asks both men and women to diet. The comical song brought much laughter to his fans with its fun lyrics and melody.

G.NA and Phantom’s Sanchez reveal MV for “Beautiful Day”

G.NA and Phantom‘s Sanchez have finally unveiled the music video for their duet “Beautiful Day“, which is part of the project album of Producer Kim Do Hoon, ‘Dokkun Project Pt. 2‘.

“Beautiful Day” is of course the work of Kim Do Hoon as well as Seo Jae Woo, and Sanchez has also participated in the writing of the song in addition to acting as the vocalist and rapper.

Contrary to the title, the song depicts the sadness of lovers who have parted ways.

Idols vote miss A’s Suzy as the ‘Idol of the Year’ on ‘Weekly Idol’

On the upcoming December 19th broadcast of MBC every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, the ‘2012 Idol of the Year Best 7‘ will be revealed, based off the votes of many idols.

The votes cast by fellow idols were determined through the promotions and activities of idols in their success and careers in acting, variety, and commercials. Strong contenders included INFINITE‘s Hoya, with his acting debut this year in tvN‘s ‘Reply 1997‘, ZE:A‘s Kwanghee, well-known for his hilarious variety show appearances, and A Pink‘s Eunji, another breakout star due to her acting debut in ‘Reply 1997′.

The most votes, however, went to miss A‘s Suzy, who experienced a huge rise in popularity after the success of her big screen debut in ‘Introduction to Architecture‘, a highly successful movie in Korea this year. Her extreme popularity continued to shine in many solo commercials and television shows, and many of her idol peers recognized this as they voted her as the idol of the year.

The rest of the ’2012 Idol of the Year Best 7′ will be revealed on the December 19th episode of ‘Weekly Idol’, so don’t forget to check it out!

YouTube releases ‘Rewind YouTube Style 2012′ feat. Psy’s “Gangnam Style”

The YouTube project Psy hinted at a few days ago has finally been revealed!

The “Gangnam Style” superstar was featured in YouTube’s year-end video mashup of the most“culturally defining moments of 2012.” The ‘Rewind YouTube Style 2012‘ video stars Psy as well as other well-known YouTube stars.

To commemorate Psy’s achievement for the most watched music video on the video sharing website, YouTube has changed its logo to feature a cartoon figure of Psy doing the infamous “horse dance.”

Gary questions his looks on ‘Running Man’

Leessang‘s Gary surprisingly displayed a lack of self-confidence during the most recent airing of ‘Running Man’.

Go Soo and Han Hyo Joo made their guest appearances on ‘Running Man’. During one of the segments Gary chose the bibimbap mission and stood in front of his teammates Lee Gwang Soo, Han Hyo Joo, and Haha.

The mission required Gary to wear a yellow hat and white cape, making him look like a fried egg. When his teammates reacted with humor, Gary started to question himself asking, “Do I look ugly? I said, do I look ugly?” To which Gwang Soo replied with, “You’re so much more than ugly right now” causing everyone to burst out laughing.

However, the netizens reassured Gary with, “You’re still very charming” and “I still love you Gary.“

Actress Choi Ji Woo to guest on the ‘Running Man’ year-end special

Actress Choi Ji Woo will be appearing on an upcoming episode of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘!

According to a staff member on December 17th, the actress participated in the filming for the year-end special in Busan and Gyeongnam. Photos of Choi Ji Woo have also surfaced on various Social Networking Sites with witnesses posting their accounts of the actress.

Despite the cold weather, it’s said that the actress enjoyed filming and impressed everyone on set with her variety skills, leaving many anticipating to see her interaction with the ‘Running Man’ cast members.

This ‘Running Man’ episode will air on December 30th!

Ailee releases “My Grown Up Christmas List” MV

Ailee has finally revealed the full track “My Grown Up Christmas List (Christmas Wish)“ with Christmas approaching fast.

“My Grown Up Christmas List (Christmas Wish)“ is included in the ‘Hitman Project #1 : A Tribute To the Hitman, David Foster‘. The ‘Hitman Project’ is a tribute to David Foster, a producer who made songs for legends such as Michael Jackson, Baby Face, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston. Top singers in Korea will be singing the legendary songs in both Korean and English.

For “My Grown Up Christmas List” Ailee worked with producer Hwang Chan Hee. Hwang Chan Hee is known for his many hits such as Kim Jong Kook‘s “One Man” and K.Will‘s “Miss Miss and Miss“.

TVXQ‘s Changmin is the next up to provide his voice for the OST of drama ‘Jeon Woo Chi‘, starring UEE and Cha Tae Hyun.

His song “A Person Like Tears” describes the emotions associated with love and heartache, and is the theme song for the two leads.

T-ara turns down coveted alcohol commercial deal

Girl group T-ara is said to have turned down an endorsement deal with an alcohol brand, a coveted commercial deal in the entertainment industry.

Aside from Ahreum, T-ara’s youngest member (with the exception of Dani, who will join the group later), all of the members of T-ara are legally adults in Korea. However, as a big girl group in Korea, T-ara has apparently turned down this offer.

Their agency Core Contents Media stated, “We believed that having the girls appear in an alcohol-related commercial is not fitting, for the dancing, singing, fashion, and actions of idol stars are highly mimicked by the teenagers of Korea, and thus, we have turned down the offer.”

They further added, “[T-ara] will not be appearing in commercials that condone drinking culture to teenagers in the future as well.”

Yoo Jae Suk briefly mentions his thoughts on the ending of ‘Come to Play’

Yoo Jae Suk briefly expressed his thoughts on the cancellation of ‘Come to Play‘.

On the 17th, ‘Come To Play’ invited Jung Jun Ho, Sung Dong Il, and Park Sang Wook from ‘Marrying the Mafia 5‘ to the show. One particular segment had the guests lie down and sleep after turning off the lights.

Jung Jun Ho joked, “We all came out here after filming our movie, and you make us sleep. How can you make us sleep right away after inviting guests? Let’s film in a more classy way.”

At this, Yoo Jae Suk joked, while making reference to the show’s cancellation, “We’re at risk, so we’ve been trying our best…” he then added lightheartedly, “but seeing that as our guests all come after 11 at night, we have no choice.”

Unfortunately for the show, this episode once again achieved low ratings, coming in at 4.5%, last place in its time slot.
